Designing an outdoor set for Shorelines (Mishka Lavigne) a post apocalyptic play that takes place on the roof of an abandoned parking garage. Not wanting to compete with the heavy brutalist forms, I wanted to insert some light feeling structures using scaffolding and recycled fishing fabric. The spaces that contained characters would be suspended and enclosed with the orange fabric that would seemingly disappear as the play progressed during sunset.
